Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain simple web-based internal applications and digital forms to support daily operations, including data input, database storage, user access control, record viewing/editing and PDF/report generation.
  • Support the digitalization of existing manual and paper-based workflows, including requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and system rollout.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for system development and implementation where required, including preparing requirements, reviewing proposed solutions, conducting testing and following up on system issues and enhancements.
  • Support system integration and API-related activities, including basic testing and troubleshooting using tools such as Postman, Swagger / OpenAPI and REST APIs.
  • Explore and assist in the adoption of AI, automation and other digital technologies to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Provide day-to-day IT support to staff, including PCs, Windows, software, printers, user accounts, Wi-Fi/LAN connectivity and other common IT issues.
  • Perform other IT-related duties and project assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in application development, system implementation, IT support or related areas.
  • Basic knowledge of Window server, Linux Server, Active Directory (AD), IP Phone System.
  • Hands-on programming experience and ability to independently develop simple web-based applications. Knowledge of common web development technologies such as JavaScript / TypeScript / React, Python, Java or similar technologies is required.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server or equivalent, including database design and basic SQL operations.
  • Basic knowledge of REST APIs and experience with API testing/documentation tools such as Postman and Swagger / OpenAPI.
  • Understanding of common application functions such as user authentication, role-based access control, data input and validation, record management, PDF/report generation and audit records.
  • Experience in requirement gathering, UAT, system implementation and coordinating with external IT vendors is an advantage.
  • Knowledge or practical exposure to AI, automation, LLM or related digital technologies is an advantage but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows PCs, office networks and end-user IT support.
  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English, with good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in elderly care, healthcare, NGO or similar operational environments is an advantage.
  • Applicants with less experience may be considered for an Assistant position.
