“Pok Oi Month Hong Kong-wide Charity Fundraiser” – Tin Shing Court fully supported the cause and all donations will be given to Pok Oi Hospital

In order to expand their charitable work and benefit more citizens, Pok Oi Hospital regularly organises various types of events. The “Pok Oi Month Hong Kong-wide Charity Fundraiser” is the hospital’s annual large-scale fundraising event, which has received support from many residential courts across Hong Kong over the years. On February 4th of this month, the “Tin Shing Court Chinese New Year Reception and Pok Oi Charity Fundraising Banquet” was held, which was fortunate enough to have Chairman of the Incorporated Owners of Tin Shing Court, Mr. Kam Tin-shing, as well as Mdm. Huang Xiao-jun, Vice Chairman of Pok Oi Hospital’s Board of Directors, and Dr. Wong Man-hon, MH, Director of Pok Oi Hospital in attendance. In addition, artists and singers Ricky Wong, Lee Man-bill, and Woo Ying-man also performed to boost the atmosphere, contributing to the rise in donations.

During her speech, Mdm. Huang Xiao-jun, Vice Chairman of Pok Oi Hospital’s Board of Directors, used the “Butterfly Effect” to describe the charitable power of Pok Oi Hospital. “A butterfly flapping its wings in the Amazon River basin led to a tornado in Texas, USA. This is the ‘Butterfly Effect’. Pok Oi hopes that everyone can be a butterfly with us, work hard to flap our wings, unleash the ‘Butterfly Effect’, and launch a powerful force of charity so that goodwill can continue to flourish.” Mdm. Huang also thanked every residential court and resident for their support over the years, and promised to make good use of the donations to expand and enhance the services provided by the Hospital, benefiting more people in need.

Tin Shing Court has always supported the “Pok Oi Month Hong Kong-wide Charity Fundraiser” and has raised a large amount of donations for Pok Oi Hospital over the years. This year, Tin Shing Court also held a clothing recycling program and donated all the raised funds of HK$ 47,725 to Pok Oi Hospital. On the day of the “Tin Shing Court Chinese New Year Reception and Pok Oi Charity Fundraising Banquet”, a total of HK$ 59,916 was raised for the Hospital.

Mdm. Huang Xiao-jun, Vice Chairman of Pok Oi Hospital’s Board of Directors, expressed gratitude towards every residential court and resident for their support over the years and promised to make good use of the donations to benefit more people in need.

Tin Shing Court also organised a used clothing recycling program and raised a total of HKD 47,725, which was donated to Pok Oi Hospital. Singer Ricky Wong went all out to perform and interact with the residents, raising even more donations.

Singers Lee Man-bill and Woo Ying-man sang several classic hit songs together and took photos with the residents.
