Responsibilities:
- The consultant’s core deliverable is to achieve an assigned annual fundraising goal. Key performance will be measured on a quarterly basis against mutually agreed milestones leading to this annual result.
- Plan and implement new fundraising initiatives by identifying and expanding diversified sources of donations and potential new donors to generate additional contributions.
- Drive the enhancement of Pok Oi’s events through innovative design, effective execution, and impactful promotion, supported by well-crafted proposals that maximize fundraising outcomes and strengthen institutional visibility.
- Leverage information technology to develop innovative publicity platforms and create integrated fundraising campaigns.
- Build and promote the brand to reinforce institution image, expand community engagement, and increase public awareness.
- Ensure compliance with Hong Kong fundraising regulations, including adherence to the Good Practice Guide on Charitable Fund-raising issued by the Government.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- A recognized degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of solid experience in fundraising, event management, and marketing, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity supervising teams.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding significant fundraising targets and securing high-value sponsorships. Experience within the NGO sector is highly preferred.
- Established network and experience engaging with family foundations, major donors, and corporate partners is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with an outgoing, proactive personality.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- The first contract is for 6 months, subject to the needs and performance evaluation, with the possibility of extension.
