About the job
We are spearheading one of Hong Kong’s largest elderly care home projects – the Lam Tei Project, which will provide 1,434 residential care places for the elderly and is scheduled to commence service in early 2027. The project integrates digital technology and innovative aged-care concepts to support efficient and high-quality elderly care services. We are seeking a hands-on IT Officer to support the day-to-day IT operations of the Lam Tei Project, with a strong focus on IT procurement, end-user support and workplace IT services. The role will assist the IT Manager in procuring and deploying IT equipment, supporting staff users, maintaining basic IT infrastructure, and coordinating vendors and IT-related tasks. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to participate in digitalization and smart elderly care initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day procurement and related administrative work, including sourcing quotations, purchase requests, vendor coordination, delivery follow-up and IT asset records.
- Provide day-to-day IT support to staff, including PC setup, software installation and troubleshooting of common hardware, software, printer and user issues.
- Support basic IT infrastructure and user administration, including Windows, Active Directory (AD), LAN, Wi-Fi and network connectivity.
- Assist the IT Manager in IT projects and system implementation, including vendor coordination, UAT, equipment deployment and related project activities.
- Assist in digitalization, automation, AI and smart technology initiatives, and perform other IT-related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant working experience in IT support, IT operations, IT procurement or a related role.
- Hands-on experience in PC installation, configuration, troubleshooting and end-user support in a Windows environment.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory (AD), LAN, Wi-Fi and common office IT infrastructure.
- Experience in IT procurement, quotation comparison, vendor coordination, purchase order follow-up and IT asset management is highly preferred.
- Experience with Jira or other ticketing / task management systems is an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, with a service-oriented and hands-on attitude.
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English.
- Experience in elderly care, healthcare, NGO or other multi-user operational environments is an advantage.
- Exposure to digitalization, automation, AI, IoT or smart technology projects is an advantage but not essential.
