The Lam Tei Nursing and Residential Home for the Elderly (“Lam Tei Project”) is scheduled to commence operations in the first quarter of 2027. With a capacity of 1,434 residential places, it will become the largest elderly residential care home operated by a single operator in Hong Kong. Responsibilities:
- Provide executive oversight and management across all functional domains within the RCHE.
- Monitor development milestones, operational outcomes, and key risk indicators, providing strategic insights and recommendations for continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
- Establish and uphold robust risk management frameworks, including statutory and institutional-wide policies, internal controls, and operating standards, to ensure consistency in high-quality service delivery.
- Champion cross-functional alignment and integration, ensuring effective collaboration and synergy across clinical, nursing care, operational and administrative teams to deliver a cohesive, resident-centered model of care.
- Oversee strategic resource planning and optimization, including workforce capability, infrastructure, and long-term financial sustainability for both subvented as well as self-financed services.
- Drive a culture of quality, safety, and accountability by strengthening assurance frameworks, incident prevention and continuous improvement practices across the institution.
- Proactive engagement with key stakeholders, including government authorities, regulators, professional bodies, and community partners, ensuring strong relationships and support for further development of the RCHE.
Requirements:
- Holder of Master degree or above, preferably in Business Administration, Social Services, Nursing, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 15 years of management experience in supervisory positions in the fields of public administration in the Government or public sector, including NGOs.
- Must be a Registered Home Manager recognized by the Social Welfare Department (SWD) in accordance with the Residential Care Homes (Elderly Persons) Regulation, or eligible for registration prior to commencement of duties. Candidates shall meet the statutory registration requirements stipulated by the SWD.
- Strong strategic, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a risk-based mindset and proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects and lead sizeable teams to drive cross-functional alignment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
