Pharmacist (Part-Time)

Daily operation of a Community Pharmacy (社區藥房) in Yuen Long town centre for delivery of program-based pharmacy services which include:

(a) medication management services (e.g. medication assessments and consultations) to patients with chronic diseases

(b) health advices to public for disease prevention and response to minor ailments

(c) dispensing services provision in community pharmacy

(d) health and medication literacy promotion to general public at large

(e) support to academia in training of pharmacy students from local universities

Responsibilities:

• Assist the pharmacist-in-charge to oversee daily operation of the Community Pharmacy ensuring compliance to the standard operating procedures/guidelines as well as all legal requirements
• Dispense of prescriptions with appropriate drug counselling to clients
• Advise and dispense over-the-counter (OTC) medications / medical devices for managing of minor ailments
• Supervise the work of pharmacists/dispensers and support training to pharmacy students
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
• Need to work on flexible hours and Saturday for at least 22 hours per week

Requirements:

• Holder of Certificate of Registration and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Hong Kong
• Holder of Master’s degree or above in health-related discipline is preferred
• Relevant working experience in community pharmacy and knowledge of using Medication Management System will be an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Competent in both English and Cantonese, communicable in Mandarin will be an advantage
