Pok Oi Hospital Smoking Cessation Program organized Smoke-free Women Promotion Project in July

On invitation from The Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH), Pok Oi Hospital Smoking Cessation Program (SCP) joined the Smoke-free Women Promotion Project in July. SCP organised Smoke-free Women Skin Care Workshop, and Smoke-free Women Health talk in Leung King Community Centre on July 5 and July 26 respectively.

In Smoke-free Women Skin Care Workshop, the tutor guided on making handmade skin care product, and shared the hazards of smoking and useful tips on quitting smoke.

Participants made natural skin care product from scratch together, and learnt smoke-free and healthy lifestyle.

The Smoke-free Women Health Talk, topic on Women Health and Smoke Free Lifestyle, introduced the benefits of smoke-free on women’s health.

There was an overwhelming participation, the participants understood the negative impact caused by smoking, and learnt the importance of smoke cessation from the health talk.
