Pok Oi Hospital is honored to receive the “Outstanding Social Service Award” in the “2023 Outstanding Practices in Social Welfare Awards” organized by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.

Pok Oi Hospital has been dedicated to the development of elderly care services with the mission of “providing a sense of belonging, care, and purpose for the elderly.” They offer comprehensive community support and caregiving services for seniors with different needs. As Hong Kong’s population continues to age, the demand for elderly care increases, placing long-term stress on caregivers and giving rise to various physical and psychological problems. In response to this, since 2020, Pok Oi Hospital has implemented the “Care Beyond Boundaries – Support Program for Caregivers of Persons with Cognitive Impairment.” The program aims to provide comprehensive support and relieve stress for caregivers of individuals with cognitive impairments. Services include caregiving information, stress reduction activities, respite services, and hotline support, among others, creating a space for caregivers to relax in their daily lives.
