Pok Oi Hospital has launched the first NGO pharmacy in Yuen Long: PHARM+ Pok Oi Hospital Community Pharmacy. Located at the town centre of Yuen Long, it is highly convenient and accessible to our clients by public transport. Apart from conventional medication dispensing service, pharmacists would also provide clients with free medication and health consultation service, and would make referral when necessary, addressing the health and medication needs of citizens due to chronic diseases and minor ailments.
The launching ceremony of this pharmacy was held on 26th July 2024. Members of the 75th Board of Directors of Pok Oi Hospital were cordially invited to this ceremony.

The design and layout of PHARM+ Pok Oi Hospital Community Pharmacy complies with all legal requirements of an “authorized seller of poisons”. This pharmacy is run by registered pharmacists.
Mr. Chau Chun Tat Danny, chairman of the 75th Board of Directors of Pok Oi Hospital, delivered a speech during the launching ceremony. “It is hoped that this community pharmacy would serve as a contact point for citizens to access convenient and affordable primary healthcare service”
Mr. Li Kwok Leung Robin, senior manager of pharmacy, introduced pharmacy service to guests: pharmacists would provide clients with medication management service, allowing them to understand the indications of their medications and their overall treatment plan while addressing their concerns.
Guests visited the dispensing area of pharmacy, understanding the workflow of dispensing medications and the procedures of handling prescriptions.
