• To provide surgical subsidies for elderly individuals with cataracts, assisting those facing financial difficulties to undergo cataract surgery as soon as possible, thereby restoring vibrancy to their lives.

• Hong Kong permanent residents aged 60 or above and;
• Participants in Hospital Authority cataract surgery and;
• Holder of referral letter / appointment slip from Hospital Authority and;
• Participants in the “ Cataract Surgery Subsidy Program”, the outstanding balance is paid by individuals or made your own appointment with a private physician for cataract surgery and;
• Holders of medical fee waiver certificates or;
• Recipients of the Elderly Living Allowance or;
• Individuals assessed by social workers as having special circumstances requiring support.

• To provide eligible elderly individuals with a surgical fee subsidy of up to $8,000.
